              ooh , that’s a tricky question .  when it comes to veronica , i think cheryl deep down would like to befriend her — of course , she isn’t aware of it && has shut off that idea since ronnie is hanging out with betty , but veronica && cheryl come from similar backgrounds in terms of wealth && lifestyle , which is something that could perhaps bond the two of them together .  it would be someone cheryl could perhaps relate to , since she is a quite lonely person in many aspects . 

                  as for betty , i’m not too sure because cheryl wouldn’t make a move to befriend her .  she is some what envious of betty in terms of innocence && kindness ( though isn’t aware of it ) , && she also carries a lot of hatred towards the coopers mostly because of what happened between jason && polly .  however , there was one point in the comics where cheryl was actually protective of betty , && i think that could translate to the riverdale situation in the future .  however , to put it in a cheryl way , she will only befriend/relate to people ‘ with heat ’ .  if you can’t intimidate cheryl or show her you’re not ‘ a waste of time ’ , which is a hard thing to do , she won’t give you her time or effort , && betty doesn’t intimidate her at all .
